Day 4!

Hello SJA Parents,

What's the scoop in Room 14? Let's check it out!

Math:
Today we continued to learn about circumference, perimeter and area. The students engaged in a pair group activity where they had to visit three stations. Each station required for them to find the perimeter, the area and the circumference between various objects. They used a ruler to measure, a chart for their calculations and the formula for each measurement. The students referred to the anchor charts posted in the class as reference for their activity.

Language:
We used the class time to mark their summaries from the night before on King Tut. The students were able to get a better understanding of the proper use of "Their, There, and They're" as we reviewed it together as a class. Some students volunteered to informally read their summary to the class and we, the audience were able to give the presenters some feedback on how they can improve their summary.

UOI:
We started a new inquiry on World Religion. The K(know), W(wonder), L(learn) chart worked really well within the last unit, therefore the students began to list down what they know and what they wonder for this unit. We then discussed together as a class on what are able to bring tomorrow as a sharing of what their family beliefs are.

Agenda:
1. Complete worksheet on circumference, perimeter and area
2. Bring a religious item from home to share with the class
3. Casual day tomorrow
4. Word List 12 Spelling due tomorrow.
