Day 4!

Hello SJA Parents,

Change of Schedule:

Tomorrow will be switched to Day 6, and Thursday will be Day 5. Students are to come in tomorrow in full gym uniform as they will have another gym class.

Math:
We learned about the relationship between different units of measure (mm, dm, cm, m, km). We explored and learned together the conversion units between each unit of measure. See anchor chart below:

When you measure the length, width, height, thickness or depth of an object, you are measuring a linear dimension. 



UOI:
Students participated in a debate session where they had to take a side "for" or "against" a topic that we explored together. 

A group of citizens has proposed a new bylaw for your local Town Council to consider. They would like to see a ban on all outdoor lights after 9:00pm. All signs, street lights and house lights would need to be turned off by 9:00pm, or people would be fined.

Student task: Develop a plan to persuade the members of Town Council to vote against or for this bylaw.

Language:
We took up the worksheets that were assigned for homework today. We went over the topics of suffix and prefixes. Students then continued to work on their A.G.G quilts which we hope to complete by the end of this week! 

Agenda:
- Math: complete two worksheets on linear measurements

- Language: Word List 10 on Spelling book due tomorrow, spelling test on Friday.

- French Spelling Test on Thursday
