Math:
We learned a new concept of measuring mass in terms of milligrams, grams and kilograms.
Mass- measure how much matter is in an object. It is measured in ml, g, and kg.
The students had the opportunity to explore measuring mass by finding objects around the room and using a scale to complete the activity on page 216 in their textbooks.
UOI:
The students completed another task in their Science Fair package in preparation for the Science Fair event which will be on Friday, November 16. Students listed and gathered their materials for their experiment which they will begin to conduct tomorrow. We continued to talk about the independent, dependent and controlled variables within their projects. We also read a book on "What is a shadow?" in preparation for our Science Centre trip which will cover properties of light and sound.

We corrected the homework over the weekend and looked at the Inference sheet, "What Happens Next?" The students were also given 10 minutes to quietly read a book and briefly talk about what they read.
