The students continued to work on their problem-solving questions where they needed to include the strategy C.U.B.E.S when answering word problems. In the last 15 minutes of class, I went over the homework that is needed to be completed tonight which talks about Growth Mindset and Understanding Problem-Solving. Please see the students' group work below regarding Dividing multi-digit numbers.

We continued to learn about sounds in the environment by looking closely at how the Human Ear works. We discussed together as a class how sound travels in our ears, through the ear canal and into our nerve system which sends signals to our brains that this particular sound is associated to a certain noise. We then watched an educational video (refer to previous post) on how sound energy works and how the intensity of sounds affect how well we hear them.

The students were asked to identify the heading for each paragraph with the appropriate title: Introduction, Habitat, Interesting Facts, Description, Life Cycle, Food and Conclusion. We will continue to learn about information reports this week.
