Today we had a lot of opportunities to form in small groups and present all of what we have learned in the past week. Let's take a look!
Math:
The students started their math review which will commence up until Monday next week in preparation for their Unit 1 Test on Tuesday, September 18. The students worked in pairs to tackle questions pertaining to numbers and patterning which serves as a review of the lessons learned since the beginning.

UOI:
The students were introduced to the 7 physical regions of Canada: The Cordillera, The Interior Plains, The Arctic, The Canadian Shield, The Hudson Bay Lowlands, The St Lawrence Lowlands and the Appalachians. Each group was assigned to read a short reading on one region and to make notes in their folders of the physical features, the vegetation, the climate, the animal life and the natural resources of that region. Students will then present tomorrow in their groups about their region which the rest of the students will take notes of.
Reading Buddies:
The students looked forward to reading in pairs with the senior kindergarten students!

We read on to Chapter 2 of our novel book titled Anne of Green Gables and the students filled in the Chapter 2 questions on what Anne's life was like before arriving at the Green Gables.
Agenda:
1. Complete math review sheet
2. Study for SPELLING TEST tomorrow
3. Read for 30 minutes
4. French Concert form to be signed and brought back to school
